Appliance giant Electrolux spoke with Current last week and said that they are going to be increasing
what they offer when it comes to their small appliance range. Electrolux will be starting with a
brand-new capsule coffee machine that was made with the help of Lavazza or as it is more
commonly known Lavazza A Modo Mio.
After statement that was sent out, Electrolux said they were releasing a new coffee machine, John
Mahar who is the director of Electrolux small appliances spoke with Current about the companies
decision to have an increased purpose in the small appliance market and what the ideas were when
it came to making a new coffee machine.

Mahar said that the market for coffee and espresso machines is huge and is growing at a rapid rate
and that some of the stats that he has come across say to him that both the espresso and coffee
machines are both the biggest value when it comes to the entire market for coffee.
Even with it essentially just starting out, Mahar said that the opportunity to grow in this industry is
huge for shop retailers as well as manufacturers that supply product to that kind of business.
The current market for capsule coffee is most definitely exploding and there is one specific brand
that casts a shadow over all other brands in the coffee category, and that is Nespresso. Mahar stated
that there are many other brands in this specific market that occupy a strong position, but the
market was no where near inundated with brands. Adding that Electrolux had the potential to be a
good competitor for Nespresso.
Mahar said that his company knows what kind of appliances that they have and in what direction
they wanted to go with them, and it is head down and straight ahead. He passionately believes that
they will be going to take their fair share of the market and their own retailers want to also.
He goes on to say that really there is a couple of main things that his company is going to bring to
this market. First is the real obsession and incredible knowledge with coffee, thanks mostly in part
for Lavazza which is one of if not the biggest coffee brand going now. He said that they are not just
showing their knowledge when it comes to technology and designs but on top of that the thoughts
of their consumers are put into it the design too.

Thanks to the partnership with Lavazza, they have already seen the benefits, with one being the rise
of the new range of coffee machines that they are now rolling out to the market. Mahar goes onto
to say that they really have a real sense of motivation to be in this market and that is exciting, not
only for the trade itself, but also for the customers too.
Electrolux passionately believe that with their new coffee machine, it will be a hit for their customers
because of its simple design and because of its superb level of style.
Mahar finished off by saying that with their new coffee machine, you can have to perfect experience
that you would get from a café, right in your own kitchen with the simple push of a button. It has a
great, simple design and will not take up loads of room in your kitchen. Overall, it is a perfect design
that will fit in just about every modern kitchen and home alike.

Because of the technology and design of the new coffee machine, with the knowledge from Lavazza
when it comes to espresso, the company feels that they have an extremely exciting product to show
to their loyal customers.
