Philips QuickClean Juicer HR1871 (RRP $249)

Able to make 2.5 litres of juice per cycle and featuring an extra large feeding tube and two juicing speeds, the QuickClean was the most awarded juicer of the year, picking up an Australian International Design Award. Philips promotes the convenience of an upside down sieve that requires only a few minutes of cleaning as the main selling point of this machine.

Convair Turbo Fan CTF03 (RRP $99)

An outstanding design feat — distributed by Australia’s own Seeley International — this fan has 90-degree horizontal and 135-degree vertical coverage. Both fans have three speeds and can be independently positioned, catering to those families that like different levels of airflow while enjoying the cricket on TV on a hot day.

Breville Sous Vide Supreme BSV600 (RRP $799)

The first compact consumer Sous Vide machine to be launched in Australia, the Sous Vide Supreme allows consumers to prepare vacuum sealed meats and vegetables at precise temperatures in a similar method to those used by the best chefs in the best kitchens. While certainly a niche product, Breville’s unique product development team has distinguished itself with this release.

Stay tuned to Current.com.au for the final instalment of Editor’s Picks for the Best Appliances of 2012, when the winner of Appliance Retailer Appliance of the Year is featured.
