GAF Control has gone back to the Retravision Southern well to find its new national sales manager. Two months after joining as general manager, Nick Fry has appointed former Retravision colleague Craig Gabb to oversee the sales of the Heller, Tiffany, Pye and Sunair brands.
"We are a strong and diverse company with a wide product range and a loyal customer base,” Fry said. “I am determined to ensure we're correctly positioned and structured to tackle the ever-changing retail landscape and meet the needs of our retail partners and the challenges of our business, across our consumer products and hardware divisions.
“The appointment of Craig Gabb as our national sales manager is a terrific coup for GAF Control, as Craig's knowledge, industry respect and work ethic are a perfect fit for us as we begin to implement our exciting and dynamic plans for the future.
“Craig brings many years of industry experience and skill to the role; a great blend of wholesale and retail knowledge in both consumer and hardware products. Craig is an ideal fit for GAF Control and we're absolutely delighted to have him on board.”
Fry confirmed to Current.com.au that he and Gabb worked together at Retravision Southern before that retailer collapsed in May 2012.
“Craig was a very proactive and respected Retravision member and a long time member of the Retravision marketing committee, where we worked closely together for a number of years,” Fry said.
Although GAF Control has had a tumultuous year, Fry predicted a strong summer of sales for the seasonal appliance specialist.
“There are some small but encouraging signs that the retail sector is starting to recover so we're hopeful of a really strong showing in the lead up to the vital October-to-January period, with big plans ahead for 2013,” he said.
“Craig comes on board at a very exciting time in GAF's long and proud history and we couldn't be happier to have a man of such character, talent and experience join our senior management team."
