Matthew Ahern has resigned from his national training manager position at Sampford IXL. Ahern was responsible for the Gaggenau and Neff brands of kitchen appliances.

UPDATED: Current.com.au has learned that Matthew Ahern has joined Italian rivals Smeg Australia. We understand his new role will be largely similar to the one he had at Sampford IXL, and he has retained his national training manager title.

During his time at Sampford IXL, Ahern gained a reputation for his passion and commitment in helping retailers understand how these appliances worked and how to close sales.

Sampford IXL has not named a replacement.

Mr Gaggenau Mr Smeg: Matthew Ahern.

Matthew has been an asset to the SIXL group of brands for over a decade. His passion for the brands and for cooking in general came across in his energetic training style. I wish him well in his future venture.
