De'Longhi Australia and Nespresso have this morning confirmed the appointment of David Hargreaves to the new Nespresso business manager position. Hargreaves was formerly the general manager of sales at Sony Australia for 26 years.
"Nespresso has been a fantastic success since we started our partnership in 2006 and it has become a prominent part of our overall business," said De'Longhi Australia CEO Paolo Albertoni.
"De’Longhi and Nespresso have exciting plans to ensure the continued success of the portioned coffee category; for this reason we appointed a dedicated resource within our organisation who will be totally focused on further developing the De’Longhi Nespresso coffee machine partnership.
"We are very pleased we have been able to secure a person with David’s experience to cover this very key role.”
The De'Longhi and Nespresso partnership has been phenomenally successful in Australia, with the pair accounting for around 90 per cent of the value of the portioned coffee segment. The most recent machine release, the Nespresso U, has been the latest to receive positive reviews from the industry.
"We welcome David to this dynamic and exciting category and look forward to working closely with him in the future" said Nespresso Australia general manager Renaud Tinel.
