Breville will be using Sydney’s annual Aroma Festival, held this Sunday at The Rocks, to launch its new campaign to promote the BES900 Dual Boiler coffee machine (RRP $1,499).

The Aroma Festival is a celebration of all things coffee and culture, with everything from Brazilian capoeira, camel rides and Chinese line dancing to opera, belly dancing and tea leaf reading packed into the schedule across six locations in Old Sydney Town.

Although Current.com.au is unsure if these machines will be on display at the festival, we can today confirm that the BES900 will soon be made available in Black Sesame (black), Elderberry (blue) and Cranberry (red).

Breville beverage and toaster business manager David Gubbin predicted 100,000 visitors to the festival, which runs from 10am to 5pm, providing a solid audience for the Australian company’s new Naked campaign. Here is a video preview of the campaign:

Meanwhile, Current.com.au had the opportunity to road test the YouBrew automatic drip coffee machine in Sydney yesterday. This machine recently picked up an Australian International Design Award, though there are no plans to release it locally.

Designed in Breville’s Sydney studio, the YouBrew can prepare, from bean-to-cup, a percolator style coffee in either a single cup or a carafe. Specifically targeted at the US drip coffee market, which is enormous in the States, the YouBrew has been a market leader, despite selling for around $200 more than the average sell price of $80.

Although the taste of drip coffee has nothing on the BES900, it is an amazing achievement for the local design team to produce such a hit product for the American market.

Where can you purchase these in Ontario, Canada? BES900 You brew!!!
