Polaroid doubles turnover with sales of new hero product

After yesterday revealing Polaroid’s love for Facebook and social media fans, Brands Australia brand manager Dale Eastman has provided some feedback on how sales of the hybrid digital instant cameras are progressing.

“Sales are very positive,” Eastman said. “We’ve doubled our turnover in the consumer business with the new Z340 Digital Instant Camera being the hero product.

“Everyone we talk to loves the idea of having a proper digital camera that can instantly print Polaroid pictures: it’s the best of both worlds.

“What is very interesting is seeing the reactions from children and teenagers who are used to playing games on iPads and not knowing a world without the internet. To them, turning something ‘digital’ in to something ‘real’ is simply magical.”
