Telecommunications distributor Cellnet has announced a shakeup in its management structure with the joint CEO and executive director of the company, Stuart Smith, announcing his immediate resignation today, after three and a half years with the company.
The company – which distributes products from a range of suppliers including Samsung, Sony, Nokia, Plantronics, Kodak and Lexar – announced the departure in a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange today.

“Cellnet announces the Stuart Smith has resigned as CEO and Executive Director effective immediately,” the statement read. “With the successful changes to the company over the past 3 years Stuart felt that now is the right time to hand over the reins to someone else as the company goes to the next stage of its growth and development.
“Stuart said that he has enjoyed his time working with the Cellnet team and that he is confident that he is leaving the company in a strong position with a fantastic team of staff.”
Following Stuart’s departure, the company is set to be managed by “the strong senior management team currently in place at Cellnet” with an official replacement to be advised “in due course”.
