The July 2012 issue of Appliance Retailer magazine is now available – and it’s packed with great features and stories.

The Father’s Day Feature focuses on men’s grooming and gadgets for Dad, with new products from Philips, VS For Men, Remington and Panasonic. We also have exclusive commentary from sales staff on what consumers are looking for during the Father’s Day selling period and insights from all the leading suppliers.

In AR’s Mid Year Report Card, 17 leading figures from the industry give their view on how the retail electronics market is tracking in 2012, with Sony Australia MD Carl Rose, GfK boss Gary Lamb and LG’s new marketing manager Lambro Skropidis among the commentators.

In our Digital Retailer section, we look at whether camcorders are still relevant to the industry, listen in to what’s happening in the in-car audio market and Netgear CEO Patrick Lo tells us why he wants to see less routers in the future.

No one is better placed to explain the troubles affecting the Retravision group than Appliance Retailer editor Patrick Avenell — he broke every story about the Retravision Southern Collapse — and he shares his insights with readers in a special feature called The Retravision Diaries. There’s also exclusive commentary by James Wells, who has been following the Retravision group for more than a decade.

The July issue also includes a look at the relaunched Omega brand, Panasonic’s new whitegoods focus, the United Warranties collapse and the Winning Group’s new Handy Crew delivery and installation business.

And don’t miss Page 5 of AR July, which includes the very first (and exclusive) look at a brand new product from one of Australia’s leading suppliers. We’ve been sworn to secrecy here at Current.com.au, so you’ll have to pick up a copy to find out what it is.

Appliance Retailer and Current.com.au are both published by The Intermedia Group.
