Following a run in Melbourne, the Good Food & Wine Show is set to kick off in Sydney this Friday, with 250 exhibitors from the appliance, food, liquor and wine industries showing off their wares.  

The event is sponsored by Fisher & Paykel, which is set to have showcase stand at the event as well as the naming rights to the Fisher & Paykel Celebrity Theatre. The Celebrity Theatre will feature live cooking demonstrations from George Calombaris, Manu Feildel, Matt Moran, and Andriano Zumbo.

“We’ve created a stunning and sophisticated stand, reflecting our innovative approach to our appliances. We’ve really raised the bar this year to design a one-of-a-kind experience for our consumers,” said Fisher & Paykel’s general manager of marketing, Peter Russell.

The stand will feature F&P’s full line up of appliances, including gas cooktops, ovens, refrigeration products such as the CoolDrawer and the new range of DCS Outdoor Grills by Fisher & Paykel. The grills are set to appear in the market in Q3, and are billed as “commercial grade grilling machines [that] take outdoor cooking to a whole new level."

“This year we’re also offering consumers the chance to win something very special with our ‘Dine with a Chef’ competition,’ added Russell.

Fisher & Paykel is offering one consumer a dinner for themselves and three friends, complete with paired wines, on the Thursday before the show. The package also includes the chance to meet the chef, plus a night’s accommodation in Sydney, four VIP passes to the Good Food & Wine Show and front row seats to a session the Celebrity Theatre.

On a retail level, F&P is also offering consumers who spend more than $1,500 on a cooktop, oven or rangehood in the three month period from the Good Food & Wine show in their state a Best Restaurants of Australia gift card valued up to $250.

The Good Food & Wine Show will run from Friday through to Sunday at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. Other appliance brands on show at the event include Nespresso, SodaStream, Thermomix and Vintec.
