The Breville Group has announced a restructure, with acting CEO Jack Lord appointing Jeremy Sargeant the new general manager for the Australian business.

Formerly the general manager of sales, Sargeant has been at Breville since 2006. In his new role, Sargeant will be responsible for Australian sales, consumer marketing, finance and distribution.

Jack Lord, who was described as “buoyant” in the statement announcing this appointment, took over the CEO role in an interim capacity on 10 November 2011 after the resignation of Stephen Audsley.

“We expect Jeremy will be driving category growth through coordinating our product launches with more consumer advertising and retail support,” said Lord.

“The success of our recent food processor and bench mixer launches has shown it is possible to grow categories and average sell prices with targeted advertising, despite the difficult retail conditions.”
