Factory seconds retailer 2nds World has started a new online store, called Savvy Appliances. In a departure from the “Tiny ding, huge savings” theme of its bricks and mortar stores, Savvy Appliances promotes itself as a full service online retailer of first run products.

Described as a “sister company” to 2nds World, Savvy Appliances does not contain any 2nds World branding or noticeable connection to its more famous relative, which currently has shop fronts in Cremorne, Penrith, Caringbah and Auburn, as well as its own online store.

“Savvy Appliances is a leading online retailer of whitegoods, browngoods and electrical appliances in Australia,” reads the website. “All products listed on our website can be delivered Australia wide, and come with a full manufacturer’s warranty.

“Savvy Appliances is a member of one of Australia’s biggest buying groups, so you can be sure that our prices will always be competitive with all other major retailers.”

2nds World is a member of the Narta buying group, which is also home to JB Hi-Fi, Bing Lee and Betta Electrical. Savvy Appliances’ online proposition bears a striking resemblance to the very successful and highly regarded Appliances Online, which is also part of the Narta Group.
