SYDNEY, NSW: Virgin Mobile has today become the last of the four major telecommunications brands to release its pricing plans for the new Apple iPhone 4S, which is set to be released in the Australian market tomorrow.

While some die-hards are choosing to camp out at Apple’s retail outlets to purchase the smartphone outright, others are opting to pre-order the device – with Apple confirming that it passed 1 million pre-orders of the iPhone 4S on the first day alone.

Vodafone and Optus released their pricing plans on the weekend, with Telstra following suit yesterday. Virgin Mobile, which is a subsidiary of Optus, announced five different plans today, each of which can be tied to the 16GB, 32GB or 64GB iPhone 4S in either black or white.

Virgin’s plans include the $29, $39, $49 and $59 Fair Go plans, as well as the Topless plan. Inclusions range from $180 phone credit and 250MB of data for the $29 plan (a total minimum cost of $1104 over 24 months for the 16GB model), up to unlimited standard calls and texts and 4GB of data on the Topless plan (with a total minimum cost of $2208 over 24 months for the 64GB model).
