Garmin targeting the entry level with new Nuvi GPS devices

Garmin has released a new range of entry-level Nuvi personal navigation devices. The new Garmin Nuvi 30/40/50 models are distinguished by their touchscreen sizes, which are 3.5 inches, 4.3 inches and 5 inches, respectively.

Features of the range include junction view, turn-by-turn directions and speed limit warnings. There’s also a Where Am I function for finding your location in an emergency.

“Garmin’s Nuvi 30/40/50 series is designed to deliver you safely wherever life takes you,” said national sales manager Ian Edwards. “These new units are simple and affordable, while also providing reliable navigation – regardless of whether you are making a short trip through the city or a long journey across the country.”

The new GPS units come preloaded with City Navigator NT street maps for Australia and New Zealand.

Pricing is as follows:

Nuvi 30 – RRP $149
Nuvi 40 – RRP $169
Nuvi 50 – RRP $189
