SYDNEY, NSW: High-end appliance retailer Winning Appliances has opened a new showroom in Brisbane, with Winning’s general manager saying the shopfront represented a continued investment in the Queensland market.

"We have some plans for growth in Queensland,” said Murphy. “The family and our staff are committed to this State.  We hope the success of this showroom will be replicated in other locations.”

With a footprint of 2230 square metres, the showroom is the ninth and largest for the retailer, and is also “the largest premium white goods and bathroom products showroom in Australia and the first in the Winning Appliances portfolio to include bathroom products”.

It includes 12 customised working kitchens, a dedicated bathroom display and an interactive functional shower wall. In total, more than $2 million was invested by the company in refurbishing the showroom, which is housed in an historic two storey building in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

The showroom was officially opened with two VIP nights that were attended by more than 300 suppliers, architects, specifiers, media and tradespeople as well as the Winning family, key management and showroom staff.

Speaking at the opening, Multyflex managing director Paul Bridgeford (responsible for the distribution of the Sub-Zero and Wolf brands) said the showroom was a strong step forward for the Winning Appliances.

“I’d like to congratulate Winning Appliances on putting the resources behind a showroom of this kind,” said Bridgeford. “Sub-Zero and Wolf is exclusive to Winning Appliances and we’re delighted to be a part of the company’s expansion. This showroom is a striking presence in Brisbane retail.”

Sub-Zero and Wolf will be among more than 45 kitchen, laundry and bathroom brands from across Europe, the UK and Australia to be exhibited in the showroom. Other big-name brands include Miele, Neff, Siemens, Villeroy & Boch, Hansgrohe and Caroma Dorf.

The showroom will employ 20 staff under the leadership of State manager Robin Maini, bathroom manager Lisa Moricz and kitchen/laundry manager Deb Robson.
