Jaycar has opened two new stores, one in Victoria and the other in Western Australia, taking its total count to 75.

Store number 74 was opened in late July, in Kew East, Melbourne, followed on 20 August 2011 by the opening of a new store in Joondalup, near Perth.

In addition to opening new stores, Jaycar is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Here’s marketing manager Murray Roberts.

“These stores are opening due to a big demand for our products across Australia and New Zealand,” Roberts said. “Our emphasis this year is to continue to grow the business with plans for further stores before the end of the year. We’ll also be relocating some of our smaller outlets to bigger sites as they are bursting at the seams.

“We’re constantly looking at what new products we can offer our customers as well as improving and upgrading our older products.

“Jaycar Electronics is moving full steam ahead in this landmark year and we’re even more excited about what the next 30 years will bring.”
