Olympus Imaging Australia has announced the appointment of a new National Sales Manager, with long-term employee Joe Tizzone taking up the position after seven years at the company.

Tizzone has a degree in Business from UTS and has worked in several positions in the business since starting with Olympus.

Speaking about the appointment was Marc Radatt, managing director of Olympus Imaging Australia.

“In his many years at Olympus, Joe has managed just about every major national retail account in Australia,” said Radatt. “He has built extremely strong relationships across the industry and I’m sure his appointment will come as no surprise to our channel partners, who, like us, have the upmost respect for his work and ethos.

“Joe’s contribution will be a key factor to the success of the Compact System Camera market and Pen range. I have every faith in his ability to lead the Olympus sales team during this exciting period of growth.”

Tizzone also credited the Pen camera range with driving the Olympus brand name forward, and said his new role would allow him to continue to grow with the company.

“The positive feedback from the industry on the new Pen range and the ‘Get A Real Camera’ campaign has been amazing,” Tizzone said. “As Olympus moves into new territory, I can’t wait to start my new role and help support and strengthen the development of the brand within the Australian market.”

In addition to this recent appointment, Olympus plans to recruit a Marketing Manager to join the company in the coming months.
