Despite this year’s MasterChef Australia finale drawing 1 million views less than last year’s, Sunbeam has voiced its unbridled satisfaction with its keyline partnership.

Around 2.6 million Australians tuned into to watch final last night, with ultimate pair Kate and Michael using Sunbeam’s StickMaster Pro and MixMaster, amongst other utensils, to create their final dishes.

“MasterChef continues to go one better and surprise us with the calibre of challenges, guests and celebrity chefs,” said sunbeam marketing manager. Nicole Cowley.

“This year, Sunbeam products were featured creating world-class dishes of the highest difficulty and we are pleased to see that our products can really stand up in some of the toughest international culinary challenges.”

Before announcing this year’s winner, Channel 10 forced viewers to sit through an episode of its underperforming home improvement show, The Renovators. This show isn’t sponsored by Sunbeam, though Apple and LG are listed as corporate partners.

Cowley confirmed that Sunbeam would be retaining its partnership with MasterChef and its producers for further series.

“We look forward to continuing our association with the MasterChef franchise and look forward to seeing what Shine and Channel Ten can cook up in seasons to come,” she said.

Perhaps next year(if Masterchef is on next year) the producers cojuld really spice it up by having the hosts or tasters not walking about as the wannabe chefs are cooking or have seperate tasters doing blind tasing and giving honest results. They could also ditch the trips to New York and Malaysia etc as they do not improve the product.
