Navigon is currently promoting its range of navigation apps for Samsung Android smartphones, with the satellite navigation specialists offering a 30 per cent discount on the price of three dedicated premium GPS apps.

Since partnering with Samsung, Navigon has made its turn-by-turn navigation programs available to users of Galaxy mobile devices, such as the original Galaxy S, the S II, the Tab, the Mini and the Ace.

The Samsung Galaxy S II, which was released in May, comes preloaded with the basic Navigon app.

There are three premium apps that Samsung Galaxy users can purchase to improve the experience:

Safety & Relax ($12.95), which includes LaneAssistantPro, speed and red light camera warnings, School Zones and Speed Warner.

Traffic Live ($19.95), which includes live traffic updates via Suna Traffic.

Sound & Fun ($9.95), which includes text-to-speech guidance in an array of different voices.

A Navigon spokesperson said the 30 per cent discount on these prices will run “until the end of the year”.
