F&P, Dyson, Nokia and Sony most trusted brands by category

Fisher & Paykel, Dyson, Nokia and Sony are the most trusted brands in their categories, according to research conducted by McCrindle Research set to be published by Reader’s Digest.

This survey is conducted annually, with Reader’s Digest also publishing a list of the most trusted professions and the most trusted Australian individuals.

In the Whitegoods category, Fisher & Paykel was named most trusted, edging out Westinghouse and Miele. Nokia is the most trusted Mobile Phone supplier, beating its more fashionable smartphone rivals Apple and Sony.

Apple and Sony both pop up again under the Most Trusted Home Entertainment Brand category, with Sony named most trusted and Apple joining Panasonic in the minor places.

The Home Appliances section is dominated by smalls, with Dyson named most trusted, and enduring foes Breville and Sunbeam receiving secondary commendation.

In the Retailers section, Bunnings came over the top of Woolworths and Target to be named most trusted.

The most trusted individual this year is public health advocate Fiona Stanley. The most trusted profession is a paramedic. Shop assistants rated #29 in this list, while journalists were #40.
