TEAC releases set-top box and DVD player combo unit

SYDNEY, NSW: TEAC has today released a new combined Digital High Definition Set Top Box and DVD Player, designed as an all-in-one unit that lets users record and play back live TV, as well as watch traditional DVDs.

The DVS1000HD allows users to enjoy digital television on a traditional TV set, and can be used to record live TV. Recordings can either be stored on a connected USB thumb drive or an external hard drive.

In addition, the built-in DVD player can be used to play DVDs in a variety of formats, including MP3, Kodak Picture CD and MPEG4.

The unit can be connected to a television set via HDMI or composite, and includes a full-function remote.

The TEAC Digital High Definition Set Top Box and DVD Player is RRP $149.
