Design Awards reveals hostess and arts patron

The 2011 Australian International Design Awards have revealed that comedian Julia Morris will host this year’s ceremony, which will be attended by guest of honour Victorian Premier and Arts Minister Ted Baillieu.

The Awards will be presented at Peninsula, in the Docklands precinct of Melbourne, on Friday 22 July 2011.

In the week around this presentation, there will be a Finalists Exhibition at the Royal Exhibition Building at Carlton Gardens. This will be open daily from Thursday 21 July 2011 to Sunday 24 July 2011.

Appliance brands competing for the honours at the 2011 Awards include Nespresso, Miele, Sunbeam, Electrolux, Breville, Bosch, Samsung and Ilve.
