SYDNEY, NSW: Schaub Lorenz has today announced the launch of its new range of flat panel LED LCD televisions, to be distributed in Australia by International Dynamics.

The 5 televisions in the Series 5 range boast LCD screens and LED backlighting technology that “allows local dimming of dark picture areas, which results in higher contrast and reduced energy consumption levels,” according to a Schaub Lorenz spokesperson.

The LED backlighting has also allowed Schaub Lorenz to create a slim-line television designed to appeal to aesthetes. With the base stand removed, the televisions are no more than four centimetres deep, giving them a narrow footprint and making them ideal for wall mounting.

The Full-HD 1080p flat panels also offer USB connectivity with PVR Out recording capability, allowing users to connect a digital video recorder to record content on time-shift or using the built-in Now and Next Electronic Program Guide.

The integrated USB 2.0 Media Player also allows users to access their videos, music and photos from a connected device, and control playback with the television’s remote.

The Schaub Lorenz Series 5 televisions are available in 32-inch, 37-inch, 42-inch, 46-inch & 55-inch screen sizes, and will retail for RRP $799, $1,099, $1,499, $1,899 and $2,999 respectively.
