SYDNEY, NSW: Smeg has developed all facets of the dishwashing process from basket design to water consumption and energy efficiency across the 15 new models.

A standout feature is the Aquatest technology, which measures the cleanliness of the water and adjusts the wash programme accordingly.

Another innovative feature is EnerSave, which lowers the temperature of the water used in the final rinse to reduce the amount of energy spent. Premium models have Ultra EnerSave, which opens the door to the dishwasher 10 minutes before the end of the cycle to let steam out and dry dishes without the use of the drier mode.

Other features include a function for an extra hygienic clean, dedicated cutlery drawers, quick wash down to 27 minutes, fail-safe water checks, a new hydraulics system for quieter operation and adjustable height baskets.

Dedicated cutlery drawers also allow more basket room, up to 15 place settings on 6 of the new models.

The dishwashers are available in tall tank or standard models, built-under, freestanding, semi-integrated or fully integrated in black, white, silver or stainless steel finishes.

The introductory model (DWA149W) starts from RRP $999.
