SYDNEY, NSW: Navman has relived Next Destination of the Magellan distribution rights after a 20-year relationship. Navman’s global parent company MiTAC International acquired the Magellan brand 2.5 years ago.

“Next Destination did great work looking after the Magellan brand here and the decision to move the two brands under the same roof came after a great deal of consideration,” said Navman GM Marcus Fry. “It makes sense to have the same team that drives the success of the Navman brand working for the Magellan brand, which is undoubtedly a world leading outdoor GPS brand.

“Australia is a big market for outdoor enthusiasts: we love our bushwalking, boating, fishing, hunting, 4WD and outdoor adventures and we believe there are great opportunities to really broaden the awareness and sales of Magellan products.”
