SYDNEY, NSW: Mass production of the 22-inch see-through LCD panel began in March, according to Samsung, who said that the high transparency rate allows people to look through the panel ‘like glass’. What’s more, Samsung said the panels consume up to 90 per cent less energy due to an increased use of ambient light which reduces the dependency on back lighting.

The panels come as a black and white type that features a 20 per cent transparency rate or a colour type with 15 per cent transparency. Both offer a contrast ration of 500:1 with 1680x1050 resolutions. Connectivity options include HDMI and USB.
