SYDNEY, NSW: Not wanting to be outdone by big brand Korean rivals, Hisense has revealed that the premium model in its impending 2011 LED TV release will also feature an internet browser.

Called the T39 Series, this highest end Hisense range is 3D LED LCD, with Smart TV capabilities including Yahoo widgets, Facebook, Twitter and an Opera browser. Connectivity is via Ethernet cable or a Wi-Fi dongle that can be purchased separately for RRP $30.

There’s only one launch models in the T39 Series: a 55-inch Full HD panel with 200Hz refresh rate, PVR recording via USB and DLNA.

But this is just the topline: Hisense has also announced three more ranges: K16, K26 and V78.

K16 and K26 are both Full HD LED ranges, with sizes from 19-inch up to 46-inch. V78 is an LCD TV range, with four Full HD models from 24-inch up to 40-inch.

No RRPs on these TVs have been revealed, though Hisense marketing manager Andre Ianuzzi eagerly confirmed that the brand’s 3-year in home replacement warranty would be continuing indefinitely.

In other good news for Hisense, the Cronulla Sharks have won two games on the spin, against last year’s regular season quinella: the mighty St George Illawarra Dragons and the somewhat ho-hum Penrith Panthers. This week the Sharkies play the NZ Warriors on Sunday afternoon: look out for the Hisense branding when enjoying the match.
