SYDNEY, NSW: Product endorsement by the Design Awards has standout value, according to Brandon Gien, managing director of Good Design Australia, who organises the awards.

Gien said he has noticed significant changes in the way suppliers and consumers approach design in the appliance industry. (For more on this see Appliance Retailer, March 2011).

Breville, Kenwood, LG and Electrolux were a few brands to be recognised at the 2010 Design Awards.

The Design Awards have been running for over 50 years and were once presented by The Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, in 1968.
