SYDNEY, NSW: MSY Technology, who carry display port products and converters for use with computers, are under Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) scrutiny for alleged false or misleading warranty representations.

The ACCC has instituted legal proceedings in the Federal Court in Sydney against MSY for the distribution of alleged false or misleading promotional materials placed in retail stores nationwide.

According to the ACCC, MSY sells computers, computer parts, electronic goods and software to consumers from retail stores in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

The ACCC is seeking court orders, injunctions, civil penalties, corrective notices, costs, and orders for MSY and each of its related companies to implement a trade practices compliance program.
