BERLIN GERMANY: Panasonic had one thing to say at IFA 2010 – 3D – whether it was the new domestic 3D camcorder, new 3D Blu-ray players, new 3D Blu-ray home theatre systems, new 3D glasses and a new interchangeable lens on the G Micro System cameras.

The highlight of the product line-up was the world’s first 3D domestic camcorder (SDT750) which features a conversion lens and will be priced under 1500 Euros or A$2000. The camcorder, which shoots the 3D images using a conversion lens, provides maximum 3D effect within 1.5 metres of its subject and content can be played via HDMI to a compatible screen or via SD card.

Panasonic expanded its 3D Viera line up to include models ranging from 42-inches to 65-inches including the new GT20 series as well as new 42-inch and 46-inch models in the VT20 series.

Panasonic also released new eyewear in small, medium and large sizes. Professional 3D screens were also on display for commercial applications in 85-inch and 103-inch sizes.

Panasonic has also released the HTB500 3D home theatre system with wireless subwoofer and 3D Blu-ray player.

Previewed at the show was the new interchangeable 3D lens on the Lumix G Micro System to shoot three-dimensional digital still images – reinforcing its message of delivering content as well as hardware in the 3D category.
