Nikon releases three new digital cameras

SYDNEY, NSW: Nikon has announced the release of three new Coolpix cameras set to be on retailer shelves by mid September.

The digital cameras mostly build on previous models, offering more advanced shooting functions and technologies.

The Coolpix S8100 (RRP $499) features solid indoor or low light capabilities and boasts new technologies for night shots.

The Coolpix P7000 (RRP $699) has upgraded from its 2008 predecessor by offering functions such as zoom memory and tone level information. It looks like a SLR camera and will appeal to the traditionally minded.

The slim Coolpix S80 (RRP $499) comes in black, silver or hot pink and will capture the attention of the fashion conscious, if not the function aware. It has a 3.5-inch screen monitor, six filter effects and advanced panel functions.
