BERLIN, GERMANY: The co-owner of Miele, Dr Reinhard Zinkann, has sent a personal video message from IFA in Berlin via Current.com.au to the Australian market which now represents the company's largest subsidiary outside its domestic market.

Dr Zinkann discussed the importance of the relationship between the German appliance manufacturer and the Australian market as well as the new products to be distributed through the local subsidiary which pioneered the Chartered Agency system.

He also outlined the importance of the new products released on the Miele stand at IFA 2010 including the new CM5 freestanding coffee machine, the Auto Dos auto dosing laundry system and the SmartGrid off-peak energy utilisation system that operates when electricity is the cheapest.

Other products showcased on the stand included the new S6 'velvet' vaccum cleaner and the G5000 dishwashers which consume as little as seven litres of water and feature internal LED lighting.
