SYDNEY, NSW: Techtronic Industries Australia (TTI) has announced the recall of a Ryobi Sliding Mitre Saw (EMS2431SCL) sold exclusively through Bunnings Warehouses.
This recall is due to “a potential manufacturing defect that makes the product susceptible to a fracture in the upper blade guard”, according to the recall notice.
“There is a remote possibility that a fracture may occur during usage giving rise to a risk that the user's hand could be exposed to the moving blade causing injury or damage,” reads the notice.
Users are advised to cease using this product immediately and to return it to any Bunnings store for a replacement or a full refund.
Consumers can also call TTI on 1300 361 505 for more information.
