Smartphone boom sees HTC add executive to ANZ team

SYDNEY, NSW: HTC Corporation is expanding its Australia and New Zealand team with the addition of a senior telecommunications executive.

Ben Hodgson has been appointed country manager to support anticipated growth in the smartphone market.

Hodgson joins the Taiwanese company with 15 years of experience across the telecommunications industry, including a stint with i-mate Australasia where he managed the rise of the business from 2005 to 2007.

Most recently, he held the role of Regional Director, New Business APAC, Brightstar Logistics where he developed and delivered new outsourced supply chain services to a number of the region’s carriers.

Speaking of his appointment Hodgson said, “The HTC brand has achieved remarkable recognition in the past couple of years, spearheaded by its portfolio of market leading offerings.  I look forward to continuing to develop HTC’s potential in this market, and working closely with our ANZ customers, partners and internal teams.”
