SYDNEY: NSW: Clean and cool air specialist, Dyson, is supporting the Asthma Foundations Australia by continuing the Kids Breathe Better Donate a Dyson campaign.

Dyson will work in association with retail partners Harvey Norman, Joyce Mayne and Domayne through August in the lead up to National Asthma Week, 1 to 7 September 2010.

Australia has one of the highest incidences of asthma in the world, with one in ten adults and one in nine children having the condition.

For every nine Dyson HEPA vacuum cleaners sold (up to a maximum value of RRP$500,000) Dyson will donate a HEPA vacuum to a family who has children with asthma.

Speaking about the campaign a Dyson spokesperson said: “it allows us to help educate the community about how serious asthma can be and of course some of the things that can be done to help minimise the incidence of asthma attacks in the home by using the right vacuum cleaner.”

The Donate a Dyson campaign has been running for two years and has contributed over $700,000 worth of Dyson vacuum cleaners in support of healthier environments for families with asthma.

Dyson has been supporting the Asthma Foundations Australia since 1999 and to date has helped raise over $2.5 million towards asthma awareness and education.

People can register to receive a donated Dyson at www.kidsbreathebetter.com.au
