SYDNEY, NSW: Pioneer will release two new iPod/iPhone audio solutions in July, with a range of features including Bluetooth audio streaming, internet radio and HDMI 1080p upscaling. Digital Radio partner Pure also previewed an update for one of its popular DAB models.

The Pioneer XW-NAC3 is the flagship model in the range, offering a dual iPod/iPhone dock, Bluetooth audio streaming, internet radio, DLNA networking and USB.

The SHUFFLE2 function allows consumers to mix tracks from two different iPods and iPhones to form a continuous tracklist. The Hi-Lite Scan button also gives consumers a 10 second preview of all tracks.

Sound Retriever Air is also incorporated, which helps to overcome signal issues usually experienced with Bluetooth.

The The XW-NAV1 is being heralded as a home theatre in a dock due to its ability to upscale videe and DVDs to 1080P via HDMI. It also includes an iPod/iPhone dock, USB input and FM tuner. The unique CD-to-USB ripping function is also a strong selling point, which lets you record CD tracks directly onto a USB without a PC.

Both will be available in July, the XW-NAC3 is RRP $699 and the XW-NAV1 is RRP $399.

On the DAB+ digital radio side of the business, Graeme Redman, managing director of Pure Australiasia, unveiled a new update for its popular Sensia unit launched last year. The update, which will be available later in the year, will give the Sensia the ability to access Picasa and show off family photos in a slideshow.
