SYDNEY, NSW: With Melbourne’s Good Food and Wine Show getting underway this Friday, Breville will be bringing High Tea to the show’s celebrity restaurant.

The Breville High Tea will act as the restaurant’s dessert bar, matching desserts with various tea varieties brewed in its Automatic Tea Maker and Kettle.

The restaurant will include signature dishes from celebrity chefs such as Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris, Pete Evans and Shaun Bowles, each of which will be matched a wine or tea variety.

Breville brand director of Australasia, David Gubbin, said the event is an opportunity to show some of the country’s growing number of gastronomes that tea can be more exciting than they think.

“The Good Food and Wine Show enables us to create an experiential event where tasting is the focus.

“High tea is a very popular social activity and with the growing interest in tea appreciation we’re excited to show off our Automatic Tea Maker and Kettle and prove the difference it can make to the flavour and aroma of different teas.”

The three day Good Food and Wine Show will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 4 to 6 June.
