NEW ZEALAND: Whirlpool has pledged to maintain support for its New Zealand customers even though the company is no longer selling its products in their country.

“The company wants to emphasise to existing customers that the superior level of care they have come to expect from the brand will continue even though Whirlpool products are currently not being distributed in retail outlets,” said Whirlpool.

The whitegoods supplier said it will continue to manage all after sales enquiries and service requests from consumers, with its communication network including a consumer call centre and case management team, as well as a dedicated maintenance department for Whirlpool products.

According to Whirlpool Oceania’s general manager of marketing, David Graham, the customer support system will manage New Zealand’s after sales service until Whirlpool re-enters the market ‘in the near future’.

“Whirlpool...wants to reassure customers in New Zealand that although we may not be distributing products at present, we are committed to maintaining that same high standard of customer and appliance care.”
