SYDNEY, NSW: Whitegoods suppliers Whirlpool and Asko are gearing up for the new season with major consumer promotions.

Whirlpool has taken to the online social world with its new partnership with realestate.com.au.

The ‘House Hunters’ promotion will make use of social media to engage and interact with its target audience, said Whirlpool.

Operated through Facebook, House Hunters is a game in which one promotional question is uploaded onto the realestate.com.au Facebook fan page each weekday, asking followers to hunt for a property on realestate.com.au.

Additional hints and clues are posted on the Facebook wall, as well as on Twitter and the realestate.cm.au home page, and after tracking down the answer the first person to successfully submit the correct response wins the weekday prize of either a Jim’s Cleaning package (RRP $375) or a Weber Baby Q (RRP $299).

Once the daily prize has been won, every correct answer thereafter goes into the weekly prize draw for the chance to win one of four Whirlpool prize packages worth over $5,000.

The prize pack includes a front loader washing machine, condenser dryer, side by side refrigerator and a stainless steel bar fridge.

Follow supplier, Asko, has also announced a new promotion that will allow customers to fit out their laundry in a single purchase.

The promotion will see Asko give away a free dryer with the purchase of a selected washing machine.

Customers who purchase an Asko W6903WH fully integrated front loading washer (RRP $3,099) will receive a T793CWH sensor condenser dryer (RRP $2,399).

In addition, customers purchasing a W6903SS washer (RRP $3,799) or W6983WH washer ($3,099), will receive a T793CSS dryer (RRP $2,799) or T793CWH dryer (RRP $2,399), respectively.
