SYDNEY, NSW: The semi-final stage of My Kitchen Rules is about to begin and will see contestants move away from the domestic setting to a custom designed, professional kitchen decked out with Breville products.

Up until now, the contestants in My Kitchen Rules have all been cooking in their own homes but now as the competition heats up it will progress to a professional-style kitchen. Breville appliances will feature heavily throughout the competition.

According to David Gubbin, Breville brand director, items from the Breville Professional 800 collection including the Wizz Planetary Mixer and Smart Oven will be used extensively.

Gubbin said that this stage of the show is expected to make a strong impact on small appliance sales.

“The next phase of the show is anticipated to impact strongly at store level, with consumers set to take an active interest in the appliances contestants use and want to create the dishes in their own homes,” he said.

“There’s no doubt that My Kitchen Rules is continuing to generate enthusiasm for cooking at home.”

Pete Evans, judge and celebrity chef, commented on the partnership.

“We’ve got some talented cooks on the show and how they step up outside the comfort of their own kitchen is going to be the real test,” he said.

“Having top class appliances at their disposal will no doubt assist their performances and enhance their skills to produce their best dishes.”
