Steamy contest expected as Kambrook claims #1 spot

By Patrick Avenell

SYDNEY, NSW: Kambrook has launched an iron-shaped broadside at its garment care rivals, claiming the #1 spot in unit sales for the first month of 2010. Marketing manager Adam Tacey attributed this success to the brand’s revitalised packaging.

“We expect that Kambrook’s revitalised packaging has contributed to our increased presence in-store,” said Tacey. “We will be rolling out new in-store collateral over the coming months to assist retailers and customers as well as remind consumers why Kambrook is ‘the smarter choice’.”

The model that has steam-shot its way to the top of iron charts is Kambrook’s entry level Steamline unit. At RRP $29, Tacey said this model offers consumers a 2,000-watt, rapid heating and non-stick iron at a very competitive price point.

“As new models are added to our growing line-up, each continues to offer the quality and array of features our customers expect, all at an affordable price. Our irons are subjected to 520 hours of rigorous testing to ensure lasting quality. This reinforces our brand’s value offering, giving consumers peace of mind,” he said.

One of Kambrook’s ironing rivals, Sunbeam, will no doubt be energised into action by this news. Current.com.au understands that Sunbeam has some particularly exciting news about to be released concerning its ironing range. This announcement could lead to one of the most intriguing pre-Mother’s Day battles in the industry.
