Belkin quick off the mark to release iPad sleeves

By Grant Shepherd

SYDNEY: We only just received news of the Apple iPad last week and it’s not slated for local release until late March, but Belkin has already come out and launched a new range of protective sleeves for the new tablet device.

According to Belkin, three protective iPad sleeves are now available for those Apple aficionados who want to stock-up on accessories before they get their hands on the new device.

Belkin is currently offering the Vue (F8N246 RRP $39.95), Max (F8N252 RRP $39.95) and Grip (F8N247 RRP $39.95) sleeves in Australia and New Zealand.

Each sleeve has a distinct feature that distinguishes it from the other models, the Vue sleeve includes a windowed pocket, the Max sleeve features a unique plated design and an expands to create more space and the Grip sleeve offers a stronger grip on your iPad to prevent it from slipping.

The 10-inch sleeves are designed with reinforced panels to fully protect the iPad’s touch screen from scratches and offers storage for other media devices like an iPhone, media reader or headphones.

“We have learnt from our consumer insight research that people want to be able to connect to the online world at any given point in time; while they’re at the doctor's office, waiting in line at the grocery store, or even in a café,” said Belkin in a statement.

“The new iPad unlocks this opportunity for the connected user, allowing them to read books, play games, watch movies, send emails, listen to music and browse the Internet, while on the move.”
