SYDNEY: It was announced only two weeks ago that Panasonic was adding 8,000 bonus gifts to its Viera promotion, now that over three quarters of all the HD gifts have been redeemed, the company is bringing back its successful Bonus Wii offer.

Evidently the HD flat panel TV market is thriving at the moment, and this can be mainly attributed to the strong promotional support suppliers are throwing behind their products. Just last week Sony announced that all of the 25,000 PS3 consoles had been redeemed, but due to the overwhelming response it added free Blu-ray players to the mix.

Now Panasonic has followed suit, after over 33,000 of the gifts it had on offer were snapped up by consumers. Due to its overwhelming popularity earlier in the year Panasonic has decided to bring back its Bonus Wii promotion that entitles customers to a Wii console, Avatar game and Wii Mario Kart with steering wheel, valued at RRP $578.90.

“The response to the VIERA Bonus HD Christmas promotion has exceeded all expectations. With the choice of two great offers – including the new Bonus Wii Promotion featuring the popular Wii pack, or the Bonus HD offer of a go-anywhere LUMIX FT1 camera – there’s something for everyone this Christmas,” said Paul Reid, director, consumer electronics group, Panasonic Australia.

“As we countdown to Christmas and the bonus gifts get snapped up, Panasonic is spreading festive cheer with many more great bonus gifts and providing more compelling reasons to buy a Panasonic VIERA Full High Definition Plasma TV.”

Reid mentioned that these bonus HD gifts are a great incentive for purchase due to the fact that it helps you get the most out of your new Viera.

“Families can get the most out of their new VIERA with these bonus gifts, as the whole family can experience Wii gaming on the big screen, or enjoy beautiful images captured with the FT1 in High Definition on their new television – all in the comfort of their lounge room,” he said.
