SYDNEY: Samsung Electronics Australia has just unveiled the ST1000, a new digital camera that offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DLNA and GPS technology all in the one device.

According to Sagar Dave, Digital Av marketing manager, Samsung Electronics Australia, the ST1000 is the world’s first camera to combine all of these technologies.

“The ST1000 leads the way in digital imaging innovation. Never before has a manufacturer provided such a range of technologies in a single compact digital camera,” Dave said.

“The ST1000 is GPS enabled with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DLNA all included - this new powerhouse point-and-shoot camera from Samsung raises the bar and sets a new standard.”

The Wi-Fi connection gives consumers the ability to email photos directly from your camera to social networking sites like Facebook and TouTube, plus the Bluetooth connection allows you to instantly transfer images to your computer or mobile phone. The images sent over Bluetooth will also be automatically resized to best fit the resolution of your screen.

GPS functionality and geo-tagging is also included in the new ST1000, which means the location of every photo you take is recorded. The camera will pinpoint your location, displaying the city, state and country on the LCD screen.

In terms of the camera’s specifications, the ST1000 is 12.2 megapixels and has a 5x internal optical zoom and 3.5 inch wide 1,152K touch screen. Other features include a built0in Acceleration sensor, to make controlling the unit easier and also records video in an impressive 720p HD.

The Samsung ST1000 is available now and comes at an RRP of $549.
