Breville has this morning announced two sales promotions designed to help retailers in the lead up to Christmas.

In the first promotion, consumers who spend $99 or more on any Breville product will receive a gift voucher for an audience with the King of Knives. This voucher will entitle consumers to choose between a selected chef’s knife, a garlic press or a grater. Breville claims these gifts are valued at over RRP $30.

In the second promotion, consumers who purchase one of three Kinetix blenders will receive, via redemption, $25 cashback. The three blenders in this promotion are the Professional 800 Collection Blender (BBL800, RRP $329), the ikon 600 Blender (BBL600, RRP $249) and the ikon 550 Blender (BBL550 $199).

Talking about these promotions is Breville brand director David Gubbin.

“Two consecutive promotions will undoubtedly help generate sales for our retailers over this already traditionally busy period,” Gubbin said.

“We don’t believe the increase in official interest rates will dent consumer confidence in the areas in which we operate.

“Our sales have been positive this year and we would expect our Christmas trading to continue that trend.”

Breville’s King of Knives promotion will run from now until 31 December 2009. The blender cashback promotion will run from 1 December 2009 until 31 December 2009.
