SYDNEY: Myer has just announced the appointment of Anne Brennan as non-executive director, effective immediately.

Brennan currently holds the position of finance director at Coates Group and is responsible for the strategic financial direction of the company and is also a management representative for the broader team.

In other roles, Brennan has had a career in several senior finance roles including chief financial officer for CSR and partner at professional services firm KPMG, Ernst & Young and Arthur Anderson.

Howard McDonald, Myer chairman commented on how Brennan’s extensive experience in finance and accounting will complement the retail expertise of the other Myer board members.

“We are delighted to welcome Anne to the Myer Board. She brings an enormous amount of knowledge and experience in the financial management of both private and publicly owned companies, as well as expertise in business strategy, information technology, procurement and the law,” he said.

“Anne’s skill set is well balanced with the significant retail expertise of the Myer Board and we believe she will be a great asset to the Myer business.”
