The evolution of Fisher & Paykel's DishDrawer
Long considered to be one of the most innovative kitchen appliances of our time, Fisher & Paykel is thrilled to unveil its new look DishDrawer introducing a new classic design and enhanced usability features.
“When DishDrawer® was first launched in 1997, the drawer configuration was a world first and it became an instant success,” said Peter Russell, National Marketing Manager, Fisher & Paykel. ‘Today there is still no comparison with DishDrawer® providing flexibility and ergonomic advantages unmatched by traditional dishwashers.”
DishDrawer’s new stylish design, with flat frontage and crisp horizontal lines complements all kitchen cabinetry. The design has done away with the rounded front that has typified DishDrawer® for the past decade. The new Classic frontage is defined by the technically inspired flat curve design.
Internally, the subtle hand of evolution is evident with practical improvements that make the task of dish washing considerably more simple. Fully adjustable side racks have been designed to slide up and down the side of the drawer allowing all sizes of cups, glasses and utensils, or can be folded away to completely maximize space.
“Fisher & Paykel’s design team work tirelessly to improve the way our products perform for our consumer,” said Mr Russell. “The folding tines easily flatten to take full advantage of room for large pots, platters and bowls, which according to our research is a feature demanded by today’s consumer.”
The updated DishDrawers also feature the return of the backlit LCD screens, making the display easier to read.
