SYDNEY: Sunbeam has announced the appointment of Nicole Cowley to the role of product manager personal care, replacing Ann-Marie Wier, who made the move to Woodland Home Products and Beefeater BBQs last month.
Cowley started her new role on 6 April after previously working with Whirlpool in the UK for 3 ½ years in the whitegoods category.
Cowley told Current.com.au that she enjoyed working in the whitegoods market over in the UK, but wanted to make the switch back to Australia and work in the personal care category again, after working with Conair and the Vidal Sassoon brand earlier in her career.
“I enjoyed my time in the UK, but I get a lot more out of the small appliance category. Personal care in particular offers far more creativity,” she said.
Cowley also expressed that one of the main reasons she made the move to Sunbeam was because of its strong reputation in the Australian market, but also because of the challenge it will provide.
“Sunbeam is one of the leading brands in the Australian market, but when it comes to the personal care category, it really needs a revamp,” she said. “This will be a real challenge for my career.”
Cowley was very excited about the appointment and was very eager to get back into the personal care scene and help strengthen the Sunbeam brand.
