SYDNEY: LG Electronics has today announced the appointment of Nathan Dunn to the position of general manager, mobile communications.

Dunn’s primary role in his new position will be to build LG Mobile’s market share and brand awareness in Australia, and to further the brand’s development in New Zealand.

“We’re entering a period of consolidation within the category, and I’m very much looking forward to working with this talented team to implement some aggressive and innovative marketing strategies that will see LG gain further market share from key players in the not too distant future,” said Dunn.

Dunn was previously the Australasian general manager for GE consumer products. In his nine years at GE, Dunn was responsible for sales, profit management and market development, with particular focus on the GE Lighting & Appliance category.
