Samsung flies in Aussie retailers for IFA Berlin

BERLIN: Samsung Electronics is hosting a number of high profile Australian retailers from major buying groups at the world's largest consumer electronics fair, IFA, in Berlin this week.

Samsung Electronics Australia director consumer electronics sales, Michael Richardson, has told Current.com.au he will be personally hosting a number of retailers at the event.

"Samsung is hosting a local delegation of senior managers from Harvey Norman, Good Guys, Retravision and Narta," Richardson said.

Based on phone calls made by Current.com.au, retailers expected to be included within the Samsung delegation are Harvey Norman executive director David Ackery, Bing Lee general manager Phil Moujeas, Retravision Northern CEO Phil Scarff, Retravision Western CEO Paul Holt and The Good Guys general manager Wayne Jennings.

Current also understands there will be representatives from several local subsidiaries which is likely to expected to showcase the next stage in the flat panel market including the release of OLED for several major manufacturers.
